American Legion Hall
This spacious building has a capacity of 350 seated and 550 standing. Features a large dining room and a slightly smaller dancing room with full-size bar. A nice redwood balcony overlooks the landscaped grounds below that lead to the Tuolumne River.
Boy Scout Club House
For intimate gatherings this small hall will accommodate up to 116 seated and 248 standing. A great space for meetings or family gatherings. Located adjacent to beautiful Graceada Park.
City Parks
Modesto’s city parks offer a wide range of baseball and softball fields; basketball, tennis, volleyball, soccer, horseshoes and swimming pools. Many parks offer reservable group picnic areas. Perfect for casual outdoor events. See why Modesto has been named Tree City USA.
The Fat Cat Music House and Lounge - website
The Fat Cat offers a 400 square foot lounge for those interested in enjoying the show in private. The 1920’s style room comes complete with red-flocked wallpaper, crystal sconces and fainting couch. The large spectator window overlooks the stage below. With a capacity of 50, the Red Room is the perfect location for your next intimate gathering. By request private wait staff, catering, champagne and decorations are available. We’re sure you’ll find the Red Room the Cat’s meow! The Fat Cat is also available for morning meetings. Full coffee and pastry service is available and most audiovisual requests can be accommodated. The Fat Cat is a 21 and over venue.
Funworks
Put the fun back into work. Have your next meeting in Funworks brand new meeting room. Seating for up to 25 with tables, or up to 35 theater style. Room includes TV/VCR and white board. Additional audiovisual equipment is also available for rent. Catering services can be provided upon request.
Hilmar Cheese Company Visitor Center
Hilmar Cheese Company Visitor Center and Catering is available for all types of events and occasions both corporate and social from parties, wedding receptions, reunions, showers, awards dinners and more. We are your event planners. Known for delicious food and exceptional presentation, service is available both on-site and off-site. The Napa style banquet facility features comfortable seating for 200, recessed lighting, integrated wireless sound system and an area with hard-wood floors for dancing. The facility accommodates 300 people for a casual function with plenty of parking just outside of the front door. The facility is adjacent to a beautiful park with a waterfall. Add a tour of the world’s largest cheese manufacturer to make your event unique.
John Thurman Field
Home of the Modesto Nuts baseball team, John Thurman Field features fixed seating, scoreboard, press box, two suites, 1,200 amps of concert power, and a children’s play area. There are also two picnic areas and a fully equipped concession stand. Great for sporting events, concerts, picnic’s, and trade shows. This stadium has a capacity of up to 7,500.
John’s Incredible Pizza
John’s Modesto Retreat Room is unique location for your next meeting. Seating for up to 125 attendees, this room includes free use of podium, TV/VCR, large projection screen, and dry erase board. All you can eat food and fun!
King-Kennedy Memorial Center
Located in lovely Mellis Park, this event site has a capacity of up to 158 guests seated and 338 standing. Two rooms are available, the auditorium with a stage and adjoining kitchen as well as one meeting room. The meeting room will accommodate up to 35 attendees classroom style.
Picnic areas. Perfect for casual outdoor events.
Mancini Bowl
This open-air amphitheater is an excellent choice for concerts, summer theater, school plays, graduation ceremonies, and church meetings. The capacity is 1,300 with stadium style seating. Picnic areas are also available at the adjacent Graceada Park.
The McHenry Mansion and McClatchy Square
Built in 1883 this Victorian mansion is a beautiful location for your next function. This space has a capacity of up to 60 on the main floor and 150 in the basement or gardens. Decorated and furnished with antiques is a favorite meeting location among many groups. Also available is the adjacent McClatchy Square. This beautiful garden location can accommodate up to 250 people. Donated by McClatchy Newspaper Group, this quarter-acre park is home to “The Paper Boy” statue and the Gallo Rose Garden, named in honor of the late Julio and Aileen Gallo.
The McHenry Museum
Originally the city library, the McHenry Museum is now home to many reminders of Modesto and Stanislaus County History. Hold your event among the many exhibits on the main floor. The capacity is 200 with an additional capacity of 90 in the auditorium. This is a wonderful location for meetings, receptions, luncheons and other special events. Docent led tours are also available.
Galletto Ristorante
Features a picturesque Tuscan-style setting in the heart of downtown Modesto! We can accommodate groups up to 300 for a seated dinner and up to 350 for a standing reception. Enjoy anniversary dinners, birthdays, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, wedding receptions, bridal showers and luncheons in elegant style. We do not charge any room rental or facility fees for our 4 private meeting spaces or you can even rent-out the entire restaurant for your special event. The Seasons
The Seasons Catering and Multi-Cultural Event Center is centrally located in Modesto Ca; we specialize in all events big and small, with over 5 rooms to accommodate from 25 people up to 1,000. The State Theater
This beautiful Art Deco style theater was built in 1934. Remodeled during the 1990’s the State represents the arts with events for all ages with a wide range of programming in an intimate 580 seat auditorium. Theater rentals include use of the house P.A. system, dressing rooms, and an event supervisor. www.thestate.org
Sierra Railroad
The Sierra Railroad Dinner Train is available for all types of events and occasions. With outstanding service provided by our wait staff and delicious meals created by our chefs, the Dinner Train is ready to make your event a special and memorable one! Companies frequently use Sierra Railroad to host holiday parties, business presentations, retreats, or annual celebrations. Private 48- to 60-person dining cars are an ideal setting to make a strong and favorable impression with your guests. Facilities are available for slide shows, receptions, private meetings, guest speakers, and more. The capacity of the train is 108 persons, though we can add additional cars for larger groups. We will also consider running special trips, which are not currently on our schedule. The Wild West, Rail & Raft, and Wildflower trains are particularly popular day-time excursions.
Vintage Gardens
Vintage Gardens offers many options for social and business events. Indoor and outdoor areas are available for parties and weddings. On site catering is available.
